FREELANCE BEADING & EMBELLISHMENT DESIGNER

THE ROLE

  • Responding to an initial brief set by the Creative Director, design, and develop beading embellishments for our women’s wear range.
  • Taking inspiration from vintage, and studio swatches in order to create new directional embellishments.
  • Compiling trend and research packs, season mood boards, and new season imagery.
  • Creating to scale artworks, either hand drawn or CAD, for both beaded and embroidered product with corresponding keys.
  • Making sure the design and placement of the embellishment technically work for each garment. Hand drawing artwork onto patterns.
  • This is a freelance position, you will not be required to work in the studio, except to attend meetings for initial briefing and for presentation of designs.

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

  • We are looking for someone with a passion for beading, and a strong portfolio. You must have a creative flair, good colour sense with extensive knowledge of beading and embroidery techniques.
  • Previous experience in embellishment design for a high end brand is essential, with experience working with Indian manufacturers an advantage.
  • Ability to work to a strict time frame is critical.

FREELANCE KNITWEAR DESIGNER

THE ROLE

  • Following a brief set by the Creative director, you will be responsible for designing and developing original knitwear design ideas for the Goat collection. Designs should demonstrate a clear understanding of knitwear trends, while remaining true to the Goat aesthetic.
  • You will present design ideas to the Creative Director and design team, and produce detailed design sheets for sampling.
  • This is a freelance position, you will not be required to work in the studio, except to attend meetings for initial briefing and for presentation of designs.

  • We are looking for someone with a passion for knitwear. You must have a creative flair, good colour sense with extensive knowledge of yarns and stitches.
  • The ability to translate initial ideas & concepts into commercial designs is essential. With a solid understanding of knitwear construction, manufacturing methods and production constraints.
  • Ability to work to a strict time frame is critical.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • The ideal candidate must have an appropriate degree supported by a strong portfolio and commercial knitwear design experience.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • You must demonstrate a good understanding of the Goat brand, with the ability to present innovative ideas, both orally and visually, that still adhere to the brand aesthetic.

MARKETING INTERN

This is a 3-month fixed-term contract with the possibility of an extension or becoming permanent afterwards. You will work closely with the Head of Marketing & E-commerce and the Graphic Designer, as well as assisting the Sales Manager for 1 day a week. This is a great opportunity for an insight into the workings of a luxury womenswear brand.

THE ROLE

  • Planning and scheduling engaging social media content.
  • Supporting the marketing team in daily administrative tasks including assisting with weekly marketing effectiveness reporting.
  • Assisting with e-commerce and campaign photoshoots including booking models, managing stock, booking couriers etc.
  • Customer service support when required
  • Assisting with sample sales and packing and organising stock
  • General office support including errands off site and assisting with external guests

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

  • Educated to degree level or similar experience
  • Creative mindset and with a strong attention to detail
  • Strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
  • Excellent social media understanding and skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Positive attitude and passionate about fashion
  • General willingness to help
  • Excellent team working skills
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is advantageous, though not required.
